No review. No spoilers.
Just this: loved it. Will watch it again after Christmas. Can't stop humming the music. All 4 of us had a really great time. And it didn't feel too long. :)
Maybe I'll write some more tomorrow.

When I mentioned to my colleagues that we were going to see The Hobbit they shook their heads. They don't "get" these movies at all. But in our family we are all great fans of the LotR trilogy (and we also play the LotR online game), so for us it was just magic.
*sighs happily*

I wish you great fun! I wish I could come along ;)

Yup, Part 2 is planned for xmas 2013, part 3 for summer 2014.

It's going to be a long wait, but I'm still happy they decided to make 3 movies.
And I really hope they make oodles of money. Maybe that will teach studio bosses that blockbusters are born when passionate film makers get a free rein...

Wow, I thought Part 2 was coming out this summer and then the third part for next Christmas. That is a long wait.

It could have been worse. We had to wait much longer for Part 1...
Besides, the part 1 bluray will be out before that.... :D

Yay. Enjoy!
Try to pick a good theatre with 48 f/s, some of the sweeping camera pans get a bit fuzzy...
that's why I want to see it again in a better movie theatre. I want to see the landscape with perfect clarity.
*sighs happily*
When I watch LotR I always think that one day I'll travel to New Zealand....
