So, I decided to give Stargate Atlantis another try, and downloaded 4x01. Hmm, I don't really get what people see in the show. It's plot-driven, the physics are dodgy (the whole asteroid field sequence was stupid), and the fact that the minute things get better another problem crops up to lessen the odds even more, quickly got on my nerves. Oh well, it was nice to see Jewel Staite again. As for the HoYay? Didn't really see it. *shrug* It's not that I hated it, but I feel little inclination to continue watching. But feel free to convince me otherwise. I give it two asteroids out of five.

A lot of pilots are currently unleashed on the various networks. I tried a few:

The Bionic Woman - Liked it. The heroine gives off a feminine vibe that I found pleasant, because I have no real liking for super-cool gun-toting babes - but I suspect that male viewers may not enjoy the show. One thing annoyed me: Instead of using hard cuts to jump from one location to another, they use a cross-fade, but to me that suggests that the heroine is partly aware of what is going on elsewhere. Since she's super-strong but not psychic, the visuals are misleading. Three bionic limbs out of five, plus a bionic pinkie.

Journeyman - I wanted to like it because I like Kevin McKidd (or I should probably say, I liked him in Rome), but I took an instant dislike to the show just from watching half of it. In fact, I didn't even finish watching the first episode. The funny thing is: I have no clue whatsover why I don't like it. Usually I can analyse quite well, why a show does not work for me. In this case? Not at all. Won't rate this, since I haven't watched the whole epi. Maybe I'll give it another try.

Chuck - I enjoyed the pilot - but I didn't get ecstatic over it. Adam Baldwin is a plus. The fight scenes look good, but I'm getting sick of all these parcouring (that is what it's called, right?) chase sequences. One thing bothers me: secrets have a half-life, so if Chuck has all those secrets in his head, won't his worth decrease over times as the information become outdated? Just saying. Three government secrets out of five. Meaning: I will watch another episode or two, before my thumb goes either up or down.

Reaper - Talked about this one in an earlier post. Funny, quirky. We'll see how it develops. Four dustdevils out of five.

Moonlight - haven't seen it yet, because I forgot how you reassemble rar-files. My old computer had all the right zip programs and whatnot installed, but my current notebook doesn't have these programs yet. Plus my old notebook won't "talk" to my new notebook and vice versa, no idea why, but that makes it a tedious task to move everything to the new computer...

I did watch the new CSI episode. I'm glad the new season finally started. Grissom! Squee!

Right, enough with the procrastinating. I gotta prepare next weekend's creative writing workshop. :-)
