Quick update - and thanks for everbody's concern and kind comments:
Toyah is finally asleep and she hasn't vomited out the half cup of water I gave her. We gave her medication and it seems to be working. However, I have a splitting headache and a temperature now. *sigh*

I've tried to write today's Advent Calendar installement, but I haven't gotten far. I *know* what's supposed to happen in the next chapter, I just feel unable to put it on file...Maybe later. I worked on chapter 24 earlier today because that scene demanded to be written. But now? Can't concentrate. *Double sigh*

Will now console myself with some chocolate. Mmmm.

I'm so glad to hear that Toyah seems to be over the vomiting stage. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Toyah's feeling a bit better now. She slept on and off, and she even walked around a bit, but on the whole she's really weak, like a newborn kitten. Poor little thing.

We will sleep downstairs on the sofa tonight, that way I can stay up late and still keep an eye on her. Plus, if she can't sleep I can turn on the DVD player for her.

I am working on today's chapter. It's not terribly good, but I plan on eating ice cream with chocolate sauce in a minute, maybe that will put me into a better mood and help me come up with a few bright ideas. :-)

I am also working on the outline again. Will send it anon.

It's tough to have a sick kid on your hands and not feel well yourself -- take your time with your installment. I know we'll be happy to get it whenever you are able to get to it.

Kind of on the same principle -- when I was young we had advent calendars with chocolates behind the doors. Occasionally we'd forget to open one, but then it was always very exciting to have two or more pieces of chocolate when we remembered!

Same thing here -- we'll just get to read more installments at once! yummy yummy adventy fic... ;)
