Quick update

My creative writing workshop about characterization was a success, thank god. All participants made the appropriate noises afterwards, sounding pleased, so I guess it didn't suck too much - although next time I'll make a better lesson plan and I'll stick to it. :-)

Also, since so many people voiced their interest in an online workshop I have decided to create an LJ-community for that purpose - but not now. I'll do it once I've finished with my Moria-translation. Which will hopefully be at the end of this month. In that workshop we'll do a few exercises in character-building. I'm thinking mainstream rather than any particular fandom. I did a poll in my LJ about what's difficult to write, and quite a lot of people said they find it hard to create original characters that aren't Mary Sues. so hopefully the workshop will help with that.

Hubby and I are currently watching The Bourne Identity - not that sucky Matt Damon thing which even Franka Potente couldn't save from utter mediocrity, but the TV two-parter with Richard Chamberlaine. I was thrilled to find this thing on DVD. Let's hope Shogun comes out next. Funny, I don't like RC, but I do like some of the films he made. It's interesting to watch the old version because there's such a complicated plot and the film actually bothers with continuity. I'm a sucker for continuity. I hate the way modern movies ignore reason and just try to string up a handful of set-piece scenes.

*Sigh* Sleepy now. Will have to work on Who's Afraid tomorrow. Over and out.

Shogun is already out. I didn't like the original Bourne Identity film much. I thought it was a bit boring.

Shogun is already out.
Not in Germany - at least as far as I know. And ordering from the States is out, too expensive. :-)
Boring... *shrug* I don't mind slow pacing (but I did mind the really horrid slow mo soft sex scene in the middle - boy that sucked)

Hmm... I would have thought they might have released it at the same time-- it's not like it's on the air in a delayed way anymore, like Buffy was. But you'll get it soon. It's a very VERY nice box set; my mom got it for my dad for his birthday. Then she told me the Tragic Tale of how heartbroken she was when she learned that her the lead actor, her heartthrob of many years, was not heterosexually inclined. I made sympathic noises and silently prayed that Ewan McGregor or James Marsters of Gavin Rossdale would never go slash on me.
