Bathtub convos

Convo 1

Mr. E: So, what are you going to write when you're finished with your ... eww... Ethan/Lindsey?
Me: Umm... (teasingly) Andrew/Anya?
Mr. E: Humpf (expression of displeasure)
Me: Let's Talk About Sex?
Mr. E: (brightens) See, that's what I wanted to hear.

Convo 2

Me: I wonder if I shouldn't revamp my old version of LTAS. Polish it a bit.
Mr. E: Why? It didn't work for George Lucas.
Me: I could make a poll, ask my readers what they think...
Mr. E: Don't forget to include an option that says: "or shall I spend the time on writing many more new installments?"

Convo 3

Me: You know, every time I read a Spander-fic where Xander comes home from work, after 8 hours on the construction site, all sweaty, and Spike greets him with a blowjob my kneejerk reaction is ewww, cause after an 8-hour workday a guy's dick is kinda rank...
Mr. E: Well he could have a shower at the site, before coming home...
Me: You think?
Mr. E: I would, if I knew Spike was waiting at home with a blowjob for me.

I love my husband. Even though he doesn't quite get Ethan's sex-appeal. Oh well. ;-)

I hope you don't mind

but I shared Convo 3 with my friends last night in chat. They all loved it.

Men often don't get sex appeal that isn't visually generated. Ethan seems to be more a case of how his personality meshes with others. In some ways his sex appeal is generated by how he acts with others. Unlike JM who just makes anyone he is on screen with look better. He could be doing a monologue to a door and some would be wondering how bad getting splinters in certain places could possible be.

Nope, I don't mind

Hey men often don't get sex appeal in men. I'm actually impressed that hubby finds Spike attractive, or that he admits it.

Last night I mentioned my plan to watch "Männer wie wir" at the movie theatre and asked if anyone wanted to join, and the three men at the table all had the knee-jerk reaction of "ew" even though they tried very hard to cover it up and say that it's simply not their cuppa. It's a German comedy about a gay socccer goalie who gets fired after not holding, and they say queers can't play soccer anyway - so he bets that he can find an all-gay soccer team and beat them...."

Anyway, I am real eager to see that movie, and so is hubby, but nobody else was remotely interested in the subject matter. It could be because neither of the men is intereseted in soccer, but hey, German comedies have a good reputation these days... and I'm not interested in soccer either.

One more reason why I love my hubby to bits.

As for your explanation about Ethan's sex appeal or lack thereof in hubby's eyes: Yup, I think you nailed it. :-)
