I remember the behemoth that was Hamlet. I enjoyed it immensely (we watched it on a school trip called Shakespeare in the Snow).
As for other Shakespeare movies I love Twelfth Night with Imogene Stubbs, and A Midwinter's Tale written and directed by Branagh.
