I couldn't ever see Giles forgiving Angel or being comfortable with him

*nod, nod* That's just it. Too much history, too much baggage. I can see a sober Giles make a conscious intellectual effort of imparting forgiveness, given the right circumstances, but I can't see him comfortable with Angel.

I suppose I could have tried my luck with more alcohol and both of them stuck in the same hours for several hours, but I didn't want to go that way...
