this and that

  • Produced two handwritten pages for Four Fear yesterday.

  • Was lucky yesterday: got two 2nd hand Hemmingway paperbacks at a cheap price.

  • Watched Flashback last night, for the first time in English. I *heart* Kiefer Sutherland and Dennis Hopper in that movie.

  • My new doc finally put me on antibiotics! Hurrah!

  • Will get to see Serenity (and Joss Whedon) tomorrow. Whoohoo!

  • Will get to see the German Bowl on Saturday. Hope they don't lose again.

  • Made lots of to-do lists. Tried to prioritize.

  • Donated clothes to church thrift shop (finally getting rid of some of my late granny's things, which so far I was unable to part with. I miss her.)

  • Did a bit of tidying up and house cleaning.

  • Started the day with good intentions but lost my steam half-way through. *sigh*

  • Had tomatoes with mozarella for lunch. Yum. *feels virtuous*

  • Enjoyed Supernatural 1x04, found Medium 2x03 creepy (in a good way).

  • Still no Veronica Mars torrent in sight... bah.

Am bored. Tired. I think I need a nice hot cuppa tea. Maybe that will put me back on track.
ETA: Darn, got sidetracked and forgot to make tea, but mowed the lawn instead. Go me! Also cut off some of the dead plants etc. But now I'll definitely make tea. Yup.

Tomatoes and mozzarella=always good.

As for the lost steam, I don't know about you, but this time of year is always a mixed bag for me. Partly, there's the old excitement of starting a new year that you never get past from your school days. And there's crisp autumn air (sometimes, but not so far in Connecticut). But partly I know winter's on the way, with shorter days and a lot of cold and grey.

Mixed bag, yup.
I like autumn, love the colors, the crisp air, but I also feel the whole Christmas hassle approaching... December is always a gruelling month for me... October is nice, November is like lead...
