Moving is more than a little like hell butonlyalittlemore

blondegirlchris drove all the way up to Braunschweig to help. For two days she carted boxes around or packed my expensive bone china into boxes (I am clumsy, so I asked her to do it). And L. fixed lamps, dismantled shelves, carried everything heavy, and was what I fondly call a 'useful commodity'.
Meanwhile, hubby had taken the kids to a long chess tournament - and Tina could have had a good placement if she hadn't fallen sick. The family is back now. Hubby and L. are carting our sofa to the new place. The TV will be next, I think. Swell.
I'll have everything I need in the new place - except for a kitchen. So we'll have to eat in the old place for the next week or so. *bangs head against wall*
