I wish people had just moved to Dreamwidth, but it's not the case. They've gone to Tumblr, which is not a very user friendly site. Also, I don't think there's much fic being posted there.
Fic commenting has just plummeted on LJ recently. It's been bad for a while, but this last month is the worst I've seen it.
