I should be translating, but this one just came to me. Written for the

open_on_sunday community. 100 words:

Birth of an Angel
PG-13 - futurefic, darkfic, drabble
Drusilla

* * *

"Don't do this. Please."

All the little dollies plead when Mommy comes to play. She smiles and licks his throat, savoring the sweat of mortal fear. "Shhh, naughty boy. Mommy knows best."

"Drusilla, please…. I fought so hard for this."

He tastes like despair, bitter and angry, but she laps up every crimson drop, greedy for everything he is.

A flick of a sharp nail and blood wells from her nipple. Silly little human, tries to turn away. She pinches his nose, cutting off his air. He gasps weakly, then suckles, taking his medicine.

Soon she'll have her Daddy back.

Thank you very much. I was going to write an even darker follow up, a vampire version of the dominoe principle, but I refrained at the last moment. ;-) Besides, the idea I had might make a story one day.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised myself how I ended up in that dark corner. A happy ending for Dru isn't a very nice place to be and if I allow myself to ponder the consequences, my mind drifts to even darker places....

I was actually wondering what the neo FF would look like.

I am thinking "no" on the vamp buffy, since Angelus did not care about her at all the last time he got out (biggest sign as to the end of Bangel on the show), and definitely yes on the vamp!connor. Hmmm... if Cordy were around then maybe her. Maybe Wes. *ponders*

BTW, *loved* this. It's beautiful and dark and perfect. Yay.

I've never looked at it like that but you're right. If Angelus's indifference is a measure of Angel's involvement, then you're right.

On the other hand Angelus may have saved Buffy for later. Angelus was always patient. :-)
Buffy or no, I'm sure he'd turn Dawn to create a plaything for Connor.

Perfect Dru logic and that's scary! very interesting premise. As the others commented, like the idea of a neo fanged four - who would Angelus kill as his family this time round? or would he bother without Darla's prompting? hmm so many thoughts...

But sometimes these things mature over time. :-)
