Cutting down on food this week

Day 1 of diet.
Current weight: 82 kg
Ate today: 2 apples, 2 oranges, mug of broth, three tablespoons of boiled rice, one tbl of sweetcorn.
Feeling... slightliy chilly.
Objective: lose 3 kg and change eating habits. Lose ugly bloaty curve of upper belly.

Ouch! Sounds brutal! How long are you going to do this? Don't overdo it will you?

Sorry - ignore me. After years of trying every diet going I finally got myself sorted and have now lost 50lb (what's that - 20-something kg?). Nothing worse than a born-again loser...

We usually fast for a week, about three times a year. Yes, I know, there's the yo-yo effect, but what helps us is the fact that fasting weans us off our food addictions.
I can't stop eating chips, but I can stop eating altogether. I know, it sounds silly, but it's true.
