Slang is cool

I just read a few entries at slangsite.com, and this one I simply have to share:

Illuminaughty: A group of lizards, disguised as people, who tread on your flower bed, never tidy their rooms, and hide your stapler when you need it. Unlike the Illuminati they actually exist, but are not terribly dangerous.
Example: He knew he had been a victim of the Illuminaughty when one of his socks vanished from the radiator.

Hee.

Why am I reading slang websites? Because I feel I have to make Ethan's dialogue a little more colourful. *sigh*

Illuminaughties?

I love it!

Yup.

Did you ever read the Illuminati trilogy? I found the books incredibly pervy when I read them aaaages ago - and they only had a handful of kinky sex scenes. Very tame compared to the fanfic I've read and written. ;-)

I have read them, yes. I've also read what you might call the 'spin-offs' from them, various historical novels by one of the authors (the one who isn't Robert Anton Wilson, can't remember his name) and the Schrodinger's Cat trilogy, which I didn't really understand.

To be honest I don't remember any sex scenes, except in those aforementioned novels, so they can't have made much of an impression.

I messaged this to my co-worker and it was the best thing! He totally choked on his coffee...

the site is full of similar examples. A great read. :-)

hi, sorry to bug, but I just opened a new non-submission archive for buffyverse human AU called The Human Condition (http://www.dbw-ink.com/thehumancondition/home.html). I'm interested in archiving your story Lucky. though, uh. I think it's yours? haha. it was sort of a meandering path tracking you down, just let me know if it's not yours. I hope you'll check out the site and find it to be a place you'd enjoy having your fic showcased. thanks!

Go on, bug me as much as you like

Wow, I'm flattered. I had a quick look at the archive. It looks really good. So yeah, I give you my permission, even though I have occasional bouts of embarrassment, since it's the perviest thing I ever wrote.

Do you need a particular format?

Why was it difficult to track me down? How did you come across the story? As far as I know it's not archived anywhere except on my website... and in one lj community... I'm always curious how people find my stories, especially now that I am no longer writing a lot.

I'm glad you like the archive! and don't worry, yours is hardly the only dark and pervy thing hosted there :D but yeah, I totally get how writing something that dark can make you feel vulnerable, been there.

I think I'm ok with formatting. I originally found it on your website a long time ago (don't remember how I originally got there), but for some reason I wasn't able to get through by email and I wasn't certain if you were still around in fandom or not, until I thought to check for a journal with the matching name on lj.

thanks! it'll be a little bit before I update the site, but if you're interested in keeping track of that sort of thing, we have an lj comm [livejournal.com profile] dbw_updates
