NaNoWriMo 2012

Phew, what a busy month. My nano word count is at 33.850 - which is pretty good, considering the fact that work ate up a lot of time and often left me exhausted. Plus there were several other events that conspired to keep me from writing. Still, I'm pleased. I have the bare bones of a children's book. Yay!
I hope you guys fared better.
I hope to finish my Broken English this December.
However, first I have to get my house shipshape, because my houshold has been sadly neglected. Memo to myself: next November a) take a week off, and b) hire a cleaning lady.

Unfortunately, I won't have time to write advent drabbles. :(
I like working, I honestly do, plus I always do a mental snoopy dance when my wages arrive, but seriously? It doesn't help with the creativity. I sometimes miss the days when the kids were small and I was at home a lot....

I know what you mean. I'm hoping to go a bit back the other way now my hours have been cut.

Your hours have been cut? By how much? I expect mine to get cut this coming may, the question is by how many hours. I am hoping for 6 hours less, that would mean slashing one of my shorter work days. I'd end up with a free day, more importantly, I'd end up with a free morning without the family.
I'll miss the money, but I am looking forward to more time. Should they cut down by 10 hours I'll have to consider finding a second job :(

My hours are being cut from 31 to 18.5, so it's a big cut. :(

Wow, that really is a big cut.
*hug*
Try to make the best of it. Recharge your batteries, that's what I'll try to do when they reduce mine.
I sometimes find that I can live more cheaply when I am happy. Recently my work sucked dead toads and I found myself spending money on a lot of non-essentials, just to cheer me up.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
