Hah, I just found this article that claims that David Boreanaz is to play Superman in a new motion picture.

The article is slightly spoilery with regard to the ending of Buffy S7 - on the other hand I find it hard to believe any of this.

I wouldn't mind seeing DB in a motion picture. He isn't a bad actor. He's improved a lot over the years and I think he has great comic talent. He can deadpan like nobody's business.

But Superman? Weird.

And I really wish JM would do a nice motion picture instead of farting around with GotR. It would be nice to see a handful of decent films with him in the lead before he gets too old for it. And damn, what I wouldn't give to see Amber's film "Chance!"

Last year there was a competition held here in Braunschweig: Creative Writing in English for non-native Speakers. (It will be held again this year)

I pondered for ages and then I wrote a story in about 3 days. I made second place, which isn't as brilliant as it sounds, since there weren't that many entries, but even so I was very pleased. Especially since I won €75.

I uploaded the story today. If you want to have a look... it's called Nine Lives.

If you think the character Ray sounds a lot like Spike, well it's no coincidence. Actually, I tried to write him archetypal, using the BAD BOY template (which is of course Spike's archetype). The Englishness of the character has other reasons, I was nostalgically thinking of my 3 years in London. The anecdote with the cat is true.

The narrator, btw is really NOT me at all. If there's an emergency it always takes me ages to find band aid, and I'm much more selfish than her. She is the NURTURER archetype.

Here, gentle readers, are some alternative authors' versions of the Lord of the Rings. I like Raymond Chandler's and James Joyce's, but the Starwars version is great too. Hilarious.

I found an old post by Indri at the BBF message board listing all kinds of stories she'd like to read.

Some of these suggestions are great. I'd reproduce them here, but I guess that goes against the netiquette. So I am providing a link to that post.

[livejournal.com profile] mikelesq, you should check that list out, those look very much like stories you might like to write.
