Am still in a great mood. Just went through our old
Games Workshop stuff and put some miniatures and games up for auction at
ebay.
We used to be great GW fans, avid wargamers and prolific miniature painters. Not so much since the kids were born. Also, my eyesight has deteriorated to a degree that painting figures is out of the question now.
I used to work in a shop that sold GW stuff, so I hoarded tons of miniatures and games which are now collecting dust. I won't sell my painted figures, like my Skaven and Chaos army, my epic Eldar or Mr. Estepheia's Elves, but we certainly don't need unpainted Halflings and stuff.
From what I've heard some of the old GW figures go for quite a lot these days. So, everybody, keep your fingers crossed that I make good money. I think of it as pocket money for Tampa.
Currently we're watching one of our all-time favorites,
Hatari which was written by Leigh Brackett, one of my favorite screenwriters (
El Dorado, The Big Sleep, Rio Bravo, The Empire Strikes Back) who also wrote nice pulp-y fantasy stories that were set on Mars.
What a great day.
