Just found a link over at BBB, that leads to a 3 min clip/summary of a version of Venetian Heat.
If I am not mistaken, James's love interest in the movie will indeed be Sean Bean. Derek Jacobi plays the priest. The director of the play will also direct the movie.

Many thanks to everybody who sent hugs and smoochies and best wishes. I metaphorically curled up in a corner and read 'Bag of Bones,' basking in your supportive vibes, then went to a meeting of our local creative writing group - which cheered me up. Afterwards I assembled Victoria's new pirate ship - it's her 4th birhtday tomorrow. I feel a bit better now. The problem is still there and it will not go away, but I am coping. I hope.
Also, Stefan rearranged the furniture in the guest room because I told him I need a place to write without the temptation of peeking into LJ - so now I have a writing desk upstairs where I can write without distraction. :-) He really supports my writing bug, for which I am immensely grateful. For him and my little ones, and for all my friends.

Check out [livejournal.com profile] the_resa_ii's post on Gender Portrayal and Slash in which she looks at Saber's 'From Nothing.'
I'm so glad I sired her!

Have just outlined the first 11 sections of my original fantasy novel, using one of the books I bought while in Ft. Lauderdale. Once I've outlined the whole novel (ca 80-90 sections) I can tell you if the book is any good or not. So far the 'painting by numbers' approach is serving me well, especially since the novel strives to be traditional fantasy in almost every respect. I will have a traditional plotline, but I hope to be more original when it comes to execution and characterisation.
I'm outlining in English, so I will eventually post the outline (friendslocked) so you can tell me what you think...

Well, I better plan a few more sections, while I feel good about it. Afterwards I'll have to translate. Bleagh.

It's official: The Firefly: Complete Series DVDs are set for release on December 9, 2003. So far they're only available in Region 1; we'll post news on other regions as it comes in. The DVDs were available for pre-order, but now Amazon lists them as Out of Stock. This is probably simply because so many people have pre-ordered that it's exceeded Amazon's original order number.

As far as the movie goes, Joss reported at San Diego Comic-Con that while no studio has picked up the script yet, he is in the process of writing it and the outlook is good. You can read more about it at Science Fiction Weekly. PLEASE NOTE: This webpage contains major spoilers for Angel Season 5.

I love [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana, [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt and [livejournal.com profile] db2305 *hug* - if only because they like Dick Francis too. Maybe I should add him to my interests - after all I own every novel he ever wrote...
