Writercon in Vegas

So, it's time I started planning my trip to Vegas next year.
I can fly from Amsterdam. The hubby just said he feels like going on holiday in Holland next summer, and flights from Amsterdam are cheaper than from Hannover. I suppose I should really go for a whole week or so, like last time.
But since I don't gamble, and don't want to gamble, staying in Vegas for a whole week is maybe not such a great idea. Does anyone have an idea what else I could do, while I'm in the United States? It should not involve large amounts of money....

Arnie

So, Arnie won.

I remember watching an interview at least 23 years ago. Arnold Schwarzenegger was interviewed for a celebrity show. He was awfully young then. He'd just signed the contract to make a handful of Conan-movies. He had a very goofy grin but he also came across as extremely determined. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember thinking that he seemed pretty smart. You need oodles of determination to bring your body into that kind of shape and keep it there. He made a few noises about his contract, not the usual enthusiastic PR blah. He said that he had his career pretty much mapped out. And I believed him.

Somehow I trust him to be smart enough to surround himself with capable people who will get the job done. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a good job - even though I don't like the political camp he represents.

Oh well, IMHO NOTHING can be worse than the current president.
