Shades of Madness by Darcy Krasne
PAIRING; Spike
RATING: PG
SPOILERS: S7 (set pre-Lessons, but spoilers through to LMPTM)
GENRE: Angst
SUMMARY: Spike. First Evil. Basement.
Comment: The story is based on the lyrics to the song Unwell by Matchbox 20. Heart-wrenching depiction of Spike's madness.

This one I've rec'd before, but new parts have been added since then, therefore I'm listing it again.
Shades of Grey 1-5 by Athene
CHARACTERS: Giles, Spike
RATING: PG
SUMMARY: It is 2007, Buffy is dead, and Spike has an interesting offer for Giles.
COMMENT: Brilliant and believable Giles, good voices, plot, nice fight scene in part 2. Not slashy, nope, just a fascinating story. The series consists of 5 largely self-contained parts so far. The stories are a very satisfying read, but neither syrupy nor blatant.

We are now proud owners of a PS2. Do you guys know any good games? Ones that are suitable for small children (aged 6)? We already have Hype and Jak and Daxter. Just curious. We can't afford buying any more games for them right now, but Christmas is approaching rapidly.

Ack. I have a dreadful cold and my brain is in hibernation. No writing today. I should do laundry but I feel too blah right now. Maybe coffee will help....

Some of you may remember that I am member of a club called Writer's INK, devoted to Creative Writing in English for non-native speakers. At the last meeting I got elected secretary. And just now the President of the club (my ex-lecturer in English Literature) called and said that the guy who was supposed to run the Creative Writing Workshop in ten days can't make it. So I volunteered to help and he accepted with alacrity, saying that he'd hoped I'd offer. How's that? LOL.

So, now I have to make up exercises and prepare handouts. Squeee! The good thing is, I have way more experience writing than anyone else present. Heee. This is gonna be fun. Although I'd hoped to go to the workshop and learn something new. Looks like I'll learn how to teach for a change. *giggle*
