Waah, this is not my day!

Waaaah! My compi just crashed. And my bit-torrent dl of Ats5x04, which was at about 50% or more, with a 50 kb/s feed (i.e. three more hours to go) crashed along with it. So, I went to SuprNova, clicked on the link again.... and instead of checking the file and continuing it, the old file seems to have been erased. The file I have now is officially 0 kb big - and the feed is at 1 kb/s. On the other hand my HD is so full, the old file must still be somewhere.... I just have no clue how to find it (and what to do with it). I am inept. Waaah!

Creative Writing exercise - characterisation

Most of you probably know that I'll be heading a creative writing workshop on Saturday (for about 5 'students' - one of them my ex-lecturer in English Literature, *gulp*). It's a bit ridiculous, the one-eyed woman leading the blind, so to speak, but still, I look forward to the experience. I have now made a kind of 'lesson plan' and decided to share. Maybe you smart people out there have more ideas, or maybe you'd like to try this yourself.

AtS 5x04

wallpapers

I am beautifying my computer - tidying up my desktop and assigning wallpapers to certain open file windows. When I check my WIP file I get Evil!Spike, on my desktop there's Spike leaning against a brick wall, and there's james in that fluffy white sweater in another window.
Now I'd like to adorn a few other windows. Wallpapers seem to be well suited. So, can anyone point me to a place where I can find a few good LotR wallpapers? And one for Sharpe? And one for The Mummy? I never dip a toe into those fandoms, and I must admit I'm a bit too lazy to go on a wild search for such items, but if you should happen to know a few wallpaper sites, I'd be really greatful. Also, I wouldn't mind a few more Spike wallpapers....

I'm currently working on a short Spike/Tara story. The Spike/Angel one? Not gonna happen. ME plucked a few ideas and lines of dialogue out of my brain and put them into 5x04. If I wrote that story now, everybody (including me) would think I'm unoriginal. *sigh*
