Movies galore
Nov. 15th, 2003 01:59 amAfter an evil tempered day full of distractions, during which I barely wrote, only 50 words or so, a friend took me out to the movies. We saw The Italian Job, which was a pleasant surprise (decent script, nice cast, fun, and action) and Kill Bill, which was exactly as I expected it to be. Actually no, I never imagined it could be *that* bloody, but my expectations came close. Liked part of it, thought part of it was... drawn out a bit. Liked O-Ren-Shii and her whole storyline, but then again I adore Lucy Liu. But to be frank, I like Pulp Fiction and True Romance a lot better.
Does anyone know where I can find a nice O-Ren-shii in the snow icon? Gosh LL looked pretty in that Japanese garb. Mmmm.
I saw previews for The Last Samurai and Master and Commander - both previews gave me a mental hard-on. Yowsa! Seriously, watching that ship plough through the churning sea, and in slow mo, with the cannon crashing through the ship, and the friendshippy and comrades-in-arms vibe sent tingles down my spine. Usually I only get that when I watch James Marsters turns on his charm.
So, I had a lovely evening, where I and my pms couldn't cause any damage. :-)
So, apart from the not writing I had a really nice evening.
But I do have a frightening yen now for sushi. So I better go to bed before I decide to ransack the fridge in search of something to eat. One shouldn't eat at 2 at night.
Nite nite.
