I am so proud

Tina (7) wrote her first story. Pokemon fanfic. LOL.

This is (in German) her first story:

Es war einmal ein Mädchen, das Tania hiess. Sie war auf Pokemon-Reise. Sie hatte ein Pferd. Sie ritt und ritt. Da traf sie einen Onyx.Tania versuchte Onyx zu fangen. Geschafft. Tania stand vor einem PokeBall mit Onyx drin. Tania ritt weiter. Jetzt traf sie einen Glumanda. Sie nahm Onyx. Dann schafft sie es, Glumanda zu fangen. Ja, geschafft, sie hat ihn. Mama und Papa Pokemon. Und dann kämpfte Tania in der Arena. Sie hat es geschafft. Dann ritt sie weiter. Und traf ein Stollunior. Dazu nahm sie Glumanda und schaffte es, ihn zu fangen. Tania giesste die Blumen und sagte. "Ich bin sooo weit geritten!!" und ritt weiter.

Translation:

Once upon a time there was a girl called Tania. She was on a pokemon journy. She had a horse. She rode and rode. Then she came across an Onyx. She tried to catch him. Gotcha. Tania stood in front of a Pokeball with Onyx inside. Tania rode on. Then she came across a Lumanda. She used Onyx. And succeeds in catching Glumanda. Yes, gotcha, she's got him. Now they are Mom and Dad Pokemon. And then she fought in the Arena. And wins. Then she rode on. And came across a Stollunior. She used Glumanda and managed to catch it. Tania watered the flowers and said: "I rode really far" and then she rode on.

I corrected spelling and punctuation. Please note the use of direct speech. Also, there are no horses in the Pokemon world, so she actually added something new to the verse. LOL. I am really proud of her.

Hmmm

Yesterday I went to the vidotheque to borrow a few movies. Ended up with Windtalkers (Now there's an hour of my life that I'll never get back, glad I turned it off before John Woo wasted another hour on boring fights, stilted dialogue and uninspired camera work), Seabiscuit (MUCH better, even though a tad blunt in places - or maybe Joss runied me forever) and the PS2 Game Wild Arms 3 (which looks blah compared to the precdecessor). Makes me wonder if I'm too critical or if quality is rarer these days.

I used to go to the movies quite often and I usually felt entertained and happy, but lately, when I look at shelves full of DVDs the only things that tempt me are old things like Humphrey Bogart movies or Sean Connery. I wouldn't mind watching Tomb Raider 2 but I am reluctant to spend money on renting it, since I fully expect to be disappointed. *sigh*

Feeling blah today. Checked my LJ of 27-28 days ago. Guess what? Yup, felt blah as well. Hopefully I'll have more energy tomorrow.
