poor penguin / poetry problem / postcard plea

Also, I need a pinch of inspiration for a poem I'm writing. Come on guys, help me out. Quote a line of modern poetry at me, either in German or English. Come on, pals. I need my brain to go to places it won't go without a little push. I can't write poetry without an initial spark, but my brain is too dull right now to come up with a direction. Too many choices. I'm often glad if someone gives me a theme or just a line, because that narrows things down a bit. It's something I learned in the poetry workshops I attended: use other people's works to get you started, but once you have produced your own poem, remove all traces of the borrowed lines....
So, pretty please?

I was wondering, is it too much to ask if I beg participants of my characterisation workshop to pen me a pretty picture postcard from wherever they live? I love getting mail and it would be so exciting to see all the different pictures and stamps. *makes puppy eyes*
