RL stuff - also stuff about Viktoria
Feb. 26th, 2005 09:58 pmOops - it's already Saturday night. Doesn't time fly when you have sick children. Not. When Toyah is sick she kinda grows tentacles and gets very clingy. She so needed to cuddle her mom. I also made Tina happy by playing the Settlers card game with her for over two hours and by buying her chocolate muffins. So I've been kinda virtuous today. And now I'm a bit worn out.
( Stuff about Viktoria )
Tomorrow our creative writing club Writers Ink celebrate their third birthday. I will read some of my English poems in public. Wish me luck.
What else is new?
sangpassionne helped me with a translation that I've been struggling with for ages. I feel like I'm slowly easing back into writing. I still feel lackluster, but not quite as bad as the past ten days.
I finally managed to get hold of the movie Magnolia on DVD and watched it yesterday. Fascinating film. I was quite impressed with the way the story skipped from storyline to storyline, like a flat pebble skips across a body of water, if thrown correctly. I was also quite impressed with Tom Cruise, who's early euvre never did much for me (except for A Few Good Men, which I re-watch religiously at least once a year), but who I've really come to appreciate in recent years.
