Messengers
Apr. 17th, 2005 09:39 amGrrr. I just spent more than an hour trying to tinker with messenging systems. Several people seem to have abandoned AIM, which means I can no longer chat with them. So I finally did what hubby has advised me to do for ages: I installed Trillian. I like the concept. Unfortunately, my AIM account via Trillian no longer lists all my AIM contacts. I am assuming Trillian can grab them from AIM but not from the AIM Communicator that I've been using. Also, I decided to get an MSN account. So I registered and I got a new email which I'll never use, and I have a password, but somehow I can't log into Trillian using that password. Harrumph. So I downloaded the MSN messenger, and voilá - I can get in with the password that Trillian claims is invalid. Grrrrr.
So, I downloaded Skype and set it up, but what about all my AIM contacts? Do I really have to keep all these messenger thingies running at the same time just to catch some of my more elusive friends online? *whine*
Ideally, I'd like to somehow import my AIM communicator contacts into Trillian and get the MSN account to work. *sigh*
I hate feeling stupid.
