Harrumph. The Socialdemocrats lost a local election. So far so unsurprising. The big news is, our Chancellor says he can't push through all the necessary reforms without the support of the majority. He wants general elections this autumn, two years early. While I think that this is a good idea, I don't think it's going to help him or his pary one bit. I guess I have to mentally prepare myself for another 20 or so years of Christian Democrat rule, with them and their Liberal allies dismantling the social net and turning our country even more into a place where the ruthless tread on the less fortunate ones. I expect a stiffening of the social climate. *sigh*
