Michael Donnellan taught another dance workshop this weekend. On Saturday he taught us a hop jig for three hours. Saturday night we (i.e. several members of our Irish dance club and Michael) went to the Irish pub and listened to live music and talked for hours. Yesterday we danced several ceilis, a sixteen-hand (i.e. a dance for 16 dancers) and something called The Gates of Derry, and a third. We danced from 11 am to 5 pm. Fun was had, but can you imagine how exhausted I was last night? We had dinner, watched Shrek 2 with the kids, and then I fell into bed. Luckily I don't feel too sore today; it seems that I've built up quite a bit of stamina over the past 8 months or so.
Words written over the course of the weekend: 100. Bah! I am now at 25.620, that's 2400 short (since I'm aiming for 30.000 instead of 50.000).
I left my Rome downloads running, but the torrents look dead...
I saw Serenity again on Thursday, and I managed to get one of my creative writing students hooked, I think.
