Dollhouse

This is probably old news for everybody, but it's new news for me: Joss is writing a new TV show called Dollhouse. Am I optimistic? Not sure. I'm ready to fall in love with another show, but I'm not sure this is the one. The premise does not sound like my kind of thing. Will I tune in? You betcha. After all, Joss is truly gifted at creating memorable and loveable characters.

*sigh* I just spent an hour deleting spam-reviews at my archive. Hubby finally uploaded the latest version of the efiction archive, so, hopefully I can tidy up the archive now. I hope this version is immune to spam bots. Also, I can't quite explain, why some of my stories have a number of reviews listed, but when I click on the number to read them, I get a blank page. Stupid archive. *glares at screen*

Hubby also reminded me, that I still have to upload Things Present Things Past to the archive. And that I need to work on my rewrite of Let's Talk About Sex. :-) Maybe I shouldn't bother with the archive. The old fandom is gone. I'm rarely writing anything new. but every now and then feedback or an archive request ends up in my mailbox. And that makes it all worthwhile.

Squee, I just found a Spike/Ethan fic that I didn't know. Wheee. It's called Vintage and it was written by phendog . Yay. Keep your fingers crossed that she'll let me archive the story. (Hopefully, itsabigrock  is still willing to do the coding.)

Favourite stories

I took the Fanfiction survey today. In the course of the survey I had to list my three favourite stories from my chosen fandom (Buffy/Angel, of course). I pondered the question for quite a while. Naturally, I'm wondering what stories you guys picked - if you took the survey.

My list:

Brothers in Arms by poshcat

Hmm, all three are S/X fics. :-)
It was a difficult choice, I found it particularly hard to decide which eliade story I like best, since I also love Subtelties and Throwing Shapes and all her other S/X stories. I also love love love witling's stuff, but I'm not sure they are properly archived anywhere, so I couldn't give a single link to the stories in question. And then there's It's Just a Jump to the left by... by... Help me out here? by kimberly_a. Oh and I love trekker's Giles/Ethan work, and Two Ladies of Qualitiy's stories (I just re-read her Reflections in a Turning Mirror). *sigh*

Of course, if you ask me tomorrow, I may list a few different stories, by Circe_Tigana, Inamorata, Doyle, Herself, LadyCat, HonorH or Shrift.

I know, I'm waxing nostalgic, but if I'm not careful I will forget who wrote what.... Every time I move to a new computer, I lose some of my favourites, or I come across broken links. I'm very glad that rusty_halo is still maintaining her fantastic All About Spike archive. I still go there whenever I feel like reading good fic. Also, I have to say that compared to the efiction engine her archive looks at least ten times better.

So, guys, what's your favourite archive? Where do you go when you need a good story?
