The cupboard that houses our fridge just collapsed. The feet broke. Luckily hubby kinda caught it. He held it upright till I'd emptied all compartments and he got the fridge out. But now we are without housing for our fridge. We have an old fridge in the cellar, I guess we will have to use that. Ack. My kitchen looked so tidy today, and now it looks like a bomb went off. *sigh*

Oh well, at least I managed to post a parcel, a letter, and a postcard to some of my favourite LJ people. I had planned on sending more, but now I have to wait and assess how much this stupid kitchen is gonna cost us. *bangs head on desk*

Naturally, I was going to write, but now I'm stuck in the kitchen. And my dentist appointment is in less than two hours. We start the next root canal treatment. I haven't been able to chew properly for weeks. It's getting on my wick. Also, I promised Tina to play cards with her today. So, I guess, I won't finish chapter 9 of Dealing today after all. :-(

ETA: Hubby just reminded me: Last year at this time it was the washing machine that broke. We always have such a calamity in December. I wonder why.

You have no idea how much I sympathize at the moment. ::sigh::

Sympathy. The floor in our kitchen failed within months of us moving into this house and replacing it means ripping out the entire kitchen. We got a quote recently, £3000 for the cupboards alone, and that's without the repairs to the floor and fitting the damn thing. Guess we'll be using the spare boarding for a while yet. *sigh*

I'm so sorry. You seem to be having such a terrible time, and it really isn't fair.

much sympathy. currently in my flat incidents of upstairs-people induced damage are not waiting for the last incident to get sorted out.

Things should just work. Properly. For as long as they are told to.

*hugs* What a mess! In our new house, we keep repairing things that we knew were broken only to have something else unrelated break that was working when we moved in! The latest was our doorbell, but before that was an entire electrical circuit.

LOL, it's the gods way of saying 'THIS IS NOT WHAT WE HAD IN MIND WHEN WE BROUGHT UP THAT WHOLE YULE THING'

and then they say "GET IT?"

and we all say, 'yeah we get it' and go spend hundreds of dollars on presents anyway.

We are a race of retards.
