I adore Lilo & Stich. I think part of the reason is that Lilo is not a perfect child by any standards. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the sequel is like.
The Emperor's New Groove (is that the llama story you're referring to?) is very silly. Extremely silly. It doesn't resonate deeply as some of Disney's better offerings, but if you're in a mood for something extremely light-hearted, you may like it. My kids love it, but my family tends to love silliness.
