I had a dreadful row with Tina yesterday, in which she said really horrid things to me. I hate how polite behaviour on my part is interpreted as weakness, and authoritarian behaviour is interpreted as unfair. She apologized and we made up, but her words still fester. *sigh*

Nevertheless, I had a pretty good day. Maybe it's the prospect of moving. Also, Mr. E took the kids to a chess tournament, so I had the first half of the day to myself. Yay.
Unfortunately, Mr. E and I both completely forgot about the fact that we were supposed to see friends for afternoon coffee and cake. Eep. When our friends called, we eeped and rushed over, and we all laughed about it. :-) Luckily they are very good friends and very forgiving.

I was in a good mood all day. Played a lot of Irish Dance music and danced through the house while tidying up.
I invited a friend over for a Chinese Take Away (to thank her for looking after Viktoria) and we discussed my SSP (sooper sekrit project). She's a writer too...
I worked on my SSP - and made progress. I changed the sequence of my scenes and fine tuned the whole thing.
I sorted through my course papers, getting them ready to be bound. I want to be able to neatly file everything away.
A friend loaned me a book about Feng Shui. It prompted me to go through my knives and cookbooks to see which ones I could do without. Well, I am getting rid of 4 kitchen knives, 2 can openers, 8 cookbooks, and several other kitchen items that I never use. I also found a stack of comic books that I'll sell.
Threw all kinds of crap away, especially all the spices that reached sell-by date years ago.
I already donated clothes and toys to the church thrift store on Friday, but I intend to be even more radical. I want to throw out most of my things, even if it means I don't have a lot to wear. If I don't like wearing the clothes, why keep them.

Let's hope this frame of mind lasts. Normally, I can't throw anything away because I or someone I know might eventually need the item within the next century or so. *eyeroll*

Things I look forward to this coming week:
On Thursday we'll watch more Firefly with friends.
Watching the new VM (haven't had the time, yet)

Things I dread:
I still have to write the course evaluation. I talked it over with a friend and took notes, but I seem to have misplaced my notes. I intend to tidy up my desk tomorrow, so hopefully it will turn up then.

Maybe if I unclutter my life I can find the energy to work on my fanfic projects. Here's hoping. I can definitely recommend going through the knives and cookbooks and throwing out each that you haven't used in a year. My kitchen drawer is already less cluttered. :-)
