Abbylee: I have a challenge for you. You're not going to want to accept it. I just read someone's comment, "I'd like to put Angel and the Buffybot in a room together and take bets on how long it takes them to find and successfully operate the doorknob."
and it makes me want to read a story!!!! how lame is that?
And this is feedback for my Spike-Oz story Take That Heat, which I found in my LJ this morning. The bunnies are rampant today.
I like this a lot but can you write one where the Dingoes open for Incubus and help a pretty blonde groupie hook up with Brandon? Cause my bff Amy has a major crush on Brandon and I'm trying to get her into BtVs fanfics so if I combine the two it might work. And then have Spike there hitting on the blonde's brunette friend(me) ;P. bye
I can only assume that Brandon is someone from Incubus....
A while back I wrote a drabble in which due to a spell Spike and Xander wake up as girls. I think that has all the trappings for a badfic spoof, but might even be fun as a plot-driven smut thingie.
And then I always wanted to write an amnesia story. S/X, of course. Although S/Wes might be fun too.
Plus I have a really cheesy bunny for an AU (which has probably been done already but who cares): English teacher William leads a double life as singer in a rock band. When his student Buffy sees his punk self he quickly invents a twin brother.... Cheesy? You betcha.
And then there's a story in which a spell turns Anya into a man.... and strangely enough she's the same as always. Only Xander is not amused... Set in S5 or S6.... (I think it could be extra funny if Anya actually had the spell done deliberately to 'surprise' Xander). The only thing wrong with this scenario is the conspicuous absence of Spike. But I guess that could be remedied. And yeah, I admit it, Spike/Anya/Xander is still my OT3, my One True Threesome.
The Spike/Fred story I promised

As for WIPs (and someone should invent another name, something that goes with bunnies... wolves?): Cues and Balls is almost finished, Flight of Fancy (one of my personal favorites) is almost finished, Dealing is outlined (yes, I have plot) and I have written several scenes already, Perdition is still stucker than stuck, Nothing to Say - stuck (annyoingly so, because I know exactly how it ends, it's the getting there that's tricky). Oh and the last Survivors drabble? Still not working. Grrrr. Who'd have thunk Vi would be so recalcitrant. I almost forgot: There's also Sifting Through the Wreckage (my mental backstory got jossed by the destruction of Sunnydale) and The Crusader's Veil.
Shoot me now!
PS: If anyone wants to adopt one of the bunnies, feel free. I have plenty. :-)
ETA: And guess what I'm doing now? I'm going offline to work on my original novel outline. God, I feel so virtuous. LOL.

Date: 2003-09-04 06:35 am (UTC)BTW, ideas for stories are called bunnies because they multiply and hop here and there...
WIPs are about as implacable as.... wombats. And as tough and undigestible.... :-) So maybe I'll call them wombats.

Date: 2003-09-04 06:01 am (UTC)Now, would that be categorised as femslash or normal slash..? *g*
10zlaine asked me for Buffy/Faith (yes I still remember), so I'm thinking post-Chosen maybe, future fic. I'd need to research Cleveland for that, which is why I haven't started on it yet.
I would adore you
forevereven more!! (Re: post-Chosen B/F...read Min's? Or mine?)no subject
Date: 2003-09-04 06:45 am (UTC)Won't read B/F though. Sorry. I read two or three because they were recced by Nautibitz or because they won an award and I can't say I was impressed. Besides, I don't want to be influenced by other stories. Sorry. I might read yours once I've written mine.
And I don't promise smut for mine. Well, maybe I'll make it a fantasy.
Femslash is so not my thing...
My last attempt (Faith/Cordy) was about to turn into (Cordy/Lilah) when it transpired that Cordy was eeeeevil. I was so sick of being jossed like that, I threw the towel.

::shrugs:: Couldn't ever say I'm a big femslasher either, but there's just something about B/F that pushes all my buttons-- and it's definitely based on the portrayal on the show itself (whereas, you all know the story, B/S was something that enthralled me when I was *reading* about it).
And I totally understand your reasons for not reading our stuff; however, parallelism occurrs anyway-- I am not worthy to lick the soles of Min's boots, but our stories are kind of similar even though neither had heard of the other one's attempt. An enigma, I tell you.

Heh. Evil, indeed. Sorry.

Date: 2003-09-04 10:56 pm (UTC)The icon is brilliant. Too bad the original footage is so dark. Well, *I* can see it well on my notebook. :-)
A lot of people complimented me on it, and I always tell them you made it. Love it!
