Fic recs

So, yesterday was International Feedback Day. I didn't read a lot yesterday, so I barely sent feedback, but since I usually send feedback whenever I read something I like, I guess I'm excused. I could do what harmonyfb is doing, she's recommending a bunch of stories in her LJ, she's even recommending a few slashy stories, like fitofpique's Keeper, but if you look at my proper LJ page (instead of reading my posts via your friends page) you will find a list of story-links in the left sidebar. I'd mostly recommend those again anyway....
Oh well... why not. Maybe a few recs (all older stories, which fandom newbies might not know yet)...

Chelle - Walking After Midnight-
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Buffy/Spike
Summary: Buffy is injured while fighting a demon and finds herself paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Spike, needing a place to hide from demons, takes on the task of caring for Buffy while Joyce works.
Comment: Solid h/c story. Spike is fluffier than canon dictates, but sometimes that's quite alright with me.

Rachel Anton - The Snakepit
Rating: R
Pairing: Spike/Lilah
Summary: Spike gets an offer.
Comment: Nice voice. Nice ending. Love the last line.

Avalon - Love is Blind
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Buffy/Spike
Summary: When Buffy is blinded, Spike, of all people, becomes her only hope.
Comment: Probably my favorite S/B story. Ever. I'm a sucker for h/c if it's not too sappy. I also enjoy a good plot. There are stories out there that are more fancy, but this one pushes my buttons.

Kayla - Sweet Memories
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Summary: Spike and Xander wake up without their memories, but circumstances suggest that they are a couple... Fluff and porn ensue.
Comment: I think this story is adorable. Fluffy, certainly, but it's an entertaining read with well written smut scenes. Cute.

Juliatheyounger - Escape
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Summary: Post-Entropy - Arguing leads to kissing leads to more....
Comment: Hot. Covers some of the issues I had with how the Scoobies treated Spike - without being too soap-boxy. Or maybe it is a bit soap-boxy but I don't care. Also: hot. Unfortunately there are a few perspective shifts, but let's not quibble.

"Love is Blind" consistently makes it onto my top ten list. I just ADORE that story.

Oh I'm pleased you enjoyed the story.
I should really post more rec lists.
I started reading fanfic more than two years ago. I read a lot of Spuffy then, some of which was very good.
But today these older stories kind of fly underneath the radar. The voracious reader appetite demands new stories and old ones don't get rec'd often.
