Not a good Saturday, so far...
Jan. 18th, 2003 01:18 pmVictoria just threw up over our relatively new couch. Fortunately, she'd complained about a stomach ouchie a few hours before, so I'd only given her water to drink instead of o-juice or milk. Thank goodness for that.
I wrote 10 sentences for Perdition and then deleted 7 of them. But I think I may be on the right track. I'm depressed, the story is supposed to be sad - so I should be able to get some more written. Eventually.
Things Present - Things Past continues to annoy me. I don't like the flow of the chapter. I feel verbose. I want to convey too much with as few words as possible.
mikelesq says I am too hard on myself. I know what I should do: write the whole dialogue first, then add the visuals, reduce both carefully, then season the whole thing with a pinch of introspection and some humor. Sounds simple, huh?
