estepheia: (One day she'll tell you)
This week went by much too fast. Probably because I was writing most of the time (with some TV and a few boardgames thrown in for variation).

I wrote 2 fics in one week! Two! Wheee! "Sixty Minutes" and "Pandora's Closet." Both Spike/Xander slash. Hmmmm. And one seems to need a sequel because EVERY single reviewer wanted one. That will teach me to end a story on a sad note.

Is that normal? The shout for sequels? Or is that just formulaic for "kinda nice"?

And why do I seem stuck with Spike/Xander? I have Perdition to continue - Spike/Xander. I have a plot bunny in my head - Spike/Xander. Things Present - Things Past requires a friendshippy scene with (you guessed it) Spike and Xander. Hmmm.

Why do I write about the male characters all the time? Probably because I currently feel like strangling ALL the female Jossverse characters for whineyness, stupid decisions and for being boring like hell! Okay, I take it back. I still like Lilah, maybe Faith. Some of the SiTs are cute. They at least have a sense of fun and get a few snarky lines every now and then.

For a series that is supposedly all about female empowerment, the female characters are surprisingly bad role-models. And boring.

Site update

estepheia: (Spike & Xander)
Hey guys,
I just updated my site, adding two stories that are based on a challenge I posted at nummytreats.

I ended up answering my own challenge, and part of me is itching to do another, more fluffy version of the same challenge.

Anyway, this was the challenge (I know, I mentioned it here before):

Pairing: Spike/Xander
Rating: up to you - doesn't have to be slash! doesn't have to be dark, either...
Set during S7

Spike offers Xander sixty minutes of payback time in which to get even. "You say it - I do it. You dish it - I take it."
What does Xander do with his hour of power?

There are two responses so far, but if anyone feels like writing another version, please do. That's what I love about challenges, looking at the way how different authors tackle the same plot.

Payback's a Bitch by Xanpet
NC-17, slash, darkfic, non-consensual sex, violence, angst
AN: The story has a positive message, but if these things squick you, please don't put yourself through it.

Sixty Minutes by Estepheia
NC-17, slash, darkfic, non-consensual sex, violence, angst
AN: The story explores the difference between payback and vengeance. It's also another check in my genre column. (It is my ambition to write each genre and common pairing at least once, now I still have to do romance and fluff, and a crossover.)

Edited to add:
I just read a lovely Spike/Xander story called Small Mercies by Dira Sudis. It's not slash, but has a few slashy vibes. Set S7 after "Same Time, Same Place." Friendshippy, PG 13.

All about Spike really is my favourite archive!

Edited to add:
I just archived my second Spike/Xander story, namely Pandora's Closet.

NC-17 for pure and unadulterated porn, Slash, PWP
AN: A lot 'nicer' than the other one. A bit out of character to get the boys into the right frame of mind. Just smut. Written for [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777
