Characters

I just sat here for several minutes, trying to work out which major characters I haven't written yet. I could only come up with two, no wait, three: Doyle, Joyce, and Riley. All the other majors have at least had walk-on parts with a few lines of dialogue. Maybe I should write a Doyle/Joyce/Riley fic and get it over and done with... or maybe not. (eww)

Today I worked on the Spike/Willow flashfic Will, which I'm writing for claudiy_yvr and on Pandora part 5. I should also write the last part of Flight of Fancy and do the next part of Perdition. And then there's Sifting Through The Wreckage... Ho boy.

I'd write more now but Viktoria seems to be off kilter. She just woke for the third time, telling me about ants in her bed and a hurtie and whatnot. I think she's dreaming vividly. The husband has relocated to the guestroom and Toyah will sleep next to me, where I can calm her more easily should she wake up again. Sheesh, and it's not even 1 am. I never go to bed that early. Oh well...

So good! Evil Spike, snarky Spike, sexy Spike. Fingerlicking good.

I'd say this is on the same level of quality as eliade's 'Sidelines' or 'Throwing Shapes'

Very very convincing Xander voice, and a Spike who still has his bite. Spike is evil, lying, snarky, drop-dead sexy, irresistable and funny. All the contradictions that make up Spike are here. We see him from Xander's perspective, who obviously lacks the knowledge to add up and understand what he sees, but the reader gets glimpses of the man underneath the persona, of the ideosyncracies and emotions that made it possible for Spike to ally himself with a Slayer or kidnap Willow. Great characterization.
