(no subject)

Let's hope Herc is right and Angel has indeed been signed on for a fifth season.

I found out that for the Vulkon Banquet in Tampa guests are requested to come in costumes or appropriate gothic clothing.

I hadn't given my attire a lot of thought so far. I have no costume or goth stuff, unless you count a very old black cape that's lined with red satin, which my granny made for me about 20+ years ago. Where the heck does one buy goth clothing? I know one shop in Braunschweig that has nice looking stuff, but unless I win the lottery I can't even afford their T-shirts, let alone a dress. *Whine*

And I can't sew. All the females in my family that came before me could sew their womanly little hearts out, and create interesting clothes, but I can't even get the thread into the sodding needle. All I ever learned about needleworks at school I've conveniently forgotten. *Sigh*

Fanfic recs

This one was recommended at Better Buffy Fic, and I agree it's worth a read. It's a very unexpected story, in that it takes you to a place you probably wouldn't have visited on your own:

A few emphatic words of thanks to everybody who gave fashion tips regarding a goth wardrobe (I love my LJ, it always hooks me up with great people).

If you leave a comment here with suggestions for something you'd like to see in a fanfic I *might* be able to squeeze it in... Not promising a story, just promising that I'll try, ok. You could each for instance list a location, a minor character a theme and an activity, and I will try to take one of those things and combine it with elements another poster listed. Does that make sense?
