My Spike/Oz fic for Catatonic is now 835 words long. It's set between 'Grave' and 'Lessons.'

Why the heck did Spike have to go to Africa to get his soul? How did he get there? How did he get back. What about his bike? Mexico or Brazil would have worked so much better. Well, I don't intend to answer those questions either. But I'll assume that Spike was mentally battered but not quite batty when he returned to Sunnydale and that it was FE's influence that pushed him over the edge and into lala-land.

My internet connection is all funny and I can't IM Ladycat. *wail*

Yay! Today's fic is Flight of Fancy, my Anya/Andrew romp of several months ago, which got inexplicably stuck in mid-chase.
I'm glad my pipes seem to be unclogging.
I have a splitting headache and I should be translating, but *I'm writing!*

Hmm, I need a non-violent, pretty Spike-vid suitable for a six-year old girl, which I can show to Tina. She thinks Spike is pretty and is amazed how many Spike-related things I own. She wants to see a clip with him, preferably one with nice music.
Tina also just peeked at my compi while I watched a Willow/Kennedy vid and asked me if the two girls like each other very very much (she saw the kiss from Killer in me). I told her the names of the characters and said yes (wondering if I should tell her that they are actors pretending to be people who really really like each other).

On Monday there was a picture in our paper taken during a Christopher-Street-Day Parade, showing a man in drag. All children present agreed that the woman in the photo looked strange and were stunned and then amused when I told them it was a man.

Occasionally, when subjects like love and marriage come up I try to patiently dismantle the gender compartmentalization that comes with kindergarten upbringing. So, when the daughters make sweeping statements like 'girls can't marry girls,' I gently try to contradict them.

I'm beginning to think that if our daughters want to *really* piss us off during adolescence they will have to do something really dreadful, like decide to get good grades and become boring lawyers. *shudder*

QAF #7

Mr. Estepheia and I started watching our QAF VCDs again (after the Florida induced hiatus). Unfortunately our #8 is corrupt, so we'll have to take a break until we've downloaded a working version. We are both captivated, loving all the characters. If there are characters I am not entirely thrilled by it's probably Michael and Ted. But I really like Michael's chiropractor Dave It took me a while to work out where I'd seen that face before: Kung Fu. He played Peter Caine, Carradine's son in the modern day series *shudder* - which was one very guilty pleasure.

So, here I am thinking that the doc won't stick around for long. What's it gonna be? A break-up or is he gonna drop dead? I bet it's the latter. Great Series! Love it.

But I'll never understand what people see in that Gay makeover show. Saw one episode. It's vaguely amusing, but not really worth my time.

Lost my earlier writing impetus. Maybe it's because the kids were naughty. Maybe it's the headache that's been lurking in my head all day. *sigh*
