(no subject)

Sitting here, with wet hair, in sweltering weather, waiting for the little guests to arrive.
Made a cake together with my offspring, had loooong phone chat with the_resa_ii, set the table, decorated the garden a little, got the prizes ready, managed to get the little cream donut thingies out of the freezer, dressed in impeccable goth black (my temporary tattoo which I got in Florida is unfortunately faded now and a permanent one would cost 180 bucks, *sigh*), read wiseacress's new bogleverse installment (I am so addicted), checked for another installment of lovesbitca's hilarious Spanderfic and worte about 20 words in my new off-the-cuff Spike/Andrew fic which is titled 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' and set in that monastery during 'Empty Places.' It's a fic that's been preying on my mind for over a month now, so I finally caved. But I *did* start chrisjournal's Spike/Willow too. So I do not feel entirely sinful for not writing the stuff already on my plate....

So I'm vain. What else is new?

Besides, the guys who did the prize pictures should get credit.

(no subject)

I'm *so* exhausted. Mostly, the heat is to blame.
The party was ok, nobody ate much, it was too hot, but all in all I think it was a success. Toyah was happy, that's what counts.

Spent the evening recovering, or trying to. I want to write, but I'm too hot. And tired. Blah.
Dear Santa, I know it's only August, but I want more icons for my LJ (I know they may soon be available for $10, here's hoping). And I want a new fancy S/X icon, my old one is boring, and I want a plane ticket to Vegas next year, no not to gamble but to go to writercon. And I want to read lots of new S/X fic, and learn to write in my sleep, and Santa, while you're at it, make it so Amber Benson really does come to Germany (Berlin maybe?) to promote her film 'Chance'. Now that I've got that off my chest, I better get back to my Spandrew. :-)
