Big Girls Don't Cry

I just watched my old American football team, the Braunschweig Lady Lions, lose against a new team from Dresden. *sigh* 22:38 They've been losing for the past 6 or 7 years, steadily, with only the odd victory here and there. Most of the girls train 3 positions because they play iron woman (there are always plenty of injured players).

Tina and her cheerleader troupe had a little presentation during the intermission, which is why we went. And although I'm 10 days away from my fortieth birthday I felt the desire to play stir inside me. I used to train for Left Guard position but played in only three matches or so, because just when the team started playing in the lady's league I got pregnant with Tina. Training/playing and breastfeeding didn't really go well together so in the end I caved and gave it up. But now I'd really like to have another go. *sigh*

I have decided *not* to translate today. Stefan told me to take the evening off, so that's what I'm doing. Meaning once the kids are in bed I'll try to finish the next bit of the new S/X fic I tossed out of my cuff. It's tentatively titled 'Cues and Balls' now - but if you have a better idea, please let me know.

And if the writing does not work I will go through all the old posts in my LJ and write replies. I've been a slacker. Mea culpa.
