Check out this Firefly Episode Guide Part I and II - with comments by Joss Whedon and Tim Minear. Very interesting stuff about the network and some of the reasons why FOX never really took the show to their bosom. Morons!

Also, if you regularly hang out at Buffy.nu and want to read the Drew Goddard interview - careful, the interview has a casting spoiler for AtS 5x11. (Can you see my straight face? The absence of a mood icon? My lips are sealed.) I can only say, Drew rocks. I'm so glad he's working for AtS!

It just occured to me that I need an Icon saying: Denial is a river in Egypt - because I totally love this phrase!
I'm also still looking for a Christmas tree icon for the Advent Calendar Fic.
And, since I'm greedy, I'd like a Firefly icon slide show. *sigh*

BTW, part 3 of said Christmas fic is finished and will be posted very soon. I'm also currently writing part 5, which (hopefully) will make a bunch of people happy because it has a couple of guest appearances (actually LadyCat's part 4 has a guest appearance too). Also, in part 5 we will give you - gasp! - plot with a capital P, rhymes with... nope, not prophecy.

I just wish my day wasn't so packed with RL stuff today. I hate Wednesdays. After lunch I have to take Toyah to a singing performance, gallop home, teach English for 45 minutes, rush off, pick up Toyah, amuse the kids, take Toyah to gym class, then, in the evening I have to go to a meeting of our Creative Writing Club. Normally I would love to go, but not today, because I wrote 500 words in less than two hours. I love being on a roll.

Phew, what a day. Extremely busy. And hectic. But I persevered and now I feel very accomplished.
My ex-lecturer for English literature, the one who two months ago roped me in to do a creative writing workshop on characterisation techniques (in the land of the blind yadda yadda), the one who actually took part in that workshop as one of the students, said lecturer unexpectedly paid me today for running that thing. Wheee! Not a lot, but enough to buy two new books on writing. Also, he asked me if I would like to play jury next year, when our club hosts another competition for creative writing in English for non-native speakers. What can I say, I'm flattered.

I will repeat the characterisation workshop for three people who couldn't make it last time and one person who wants to do it again. How's that. :-)

Also, every Wednesday I teach English to a handful of six-year-olds, but today the test phase was over and I actually got paid. Okay, not much, but I did put 6 EUR into my Vegas piggy bank.
Will now round the day off with a bit of raw beef in soy sauce and wasabi. Mmmmm.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention this: the ticket confirmation for the JM event in Berlin finally arrived! So, in May 2004 the four of us, [livejournal.com profile] the_resa_ii, [livejournal.com profile] blondegirlchris, [livejournal.com profile] drcoulter, and myself will get to see James. Plus we'll hang out and have us a ball! Yay!
