Phew, what a day. Extremely busy. And hectic. But I persevered and now I feel very accomplished.
My ex-lecturer for English literature, the one who two months ago roped me in to do a creative writing workshop on characterisation techniques (in the land of the blind yadda yadda), the one who actually took part in that workshop as one of the students, said lecturer unexpectedly paid me today for running that thing. Wheee! Not a lot, but enough to buy two new books on writing. Also, he asked me if I would like to play jury next year, when our club hosts another competition for creative writing in English for non-native speakers. What can I say, I'm flattered.
I will repeat the characterisation workshop for three people who couldn't make it last time and one person who wants to do it again. How's that. :-)
Also, every Wednesday I teach English to a handful of six-year-olds, but today the test phase was over and I actually got paid. Okay, not much, but I did put 6 EUR into my Vegas piggy bank.
Will now round the day off with a bit of raw beef in soy sauce and wasabi. Mmmmm.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention this: the ticket confirmation for the JM event in Berlin finally arrived! So, in May 2004 the four of us,
the_resa_ii,
blondegirlchris,
drcoulter, and myself will get to see James. Plus we'll hang out and have us a ball! Yay!
