The Shades of Grey Award Winners have been announced. Whohooo. Aaaaand, Pandora's Closet made runner up in Best Slash PWP. Yay. I haven't been nominated a lot since I stopped writing mostly Spike, so I was already insanely happy when I received the nomination (and crap, I forgot who named the story. Sorry. But consider yourself thanked again.). Making second place makes me even insaner... er, that doesn't sound right, does it?

Other things whorth whohooing about:
A few days ago [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight posted the sequel to Salvage Mission (her very hurty Jayne h/c fic which I recced back then). The sequel is called Reclamation and the pairing is Jayne/Simon. Again with the h/c and the mild slash. These stories weren't explicitly written for me (although I did provide some impetus for the sequel) but I like to pretend that they were and that are mine and mine alone. Luckily for the rest of the world I'm a generous person and willing to share. So there.

[livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight also penned a wonderful Inara fic titled The Wine Ceremnony.

I should warn you though. If you follow those links you need a spyware blocker, because [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight's provider Tripod tries to dump Avenue A. Inc on you. Spybot can identify it and block the download.

Oh, and while I was at her site to grab the links I came across a story titled Five Things That Might've Happened (To Jayne Cobb), which, as far as I'm concerned, is a must-read. So, what are you waiting for?

Also, on Monday [livejournal.com profile] killerweasel wrote a little h/c 100 word S/X drabble for me, to cheer me up after my excruciating trip to the dentist. I'll probably reread that drabble later today, because I have another tooth drilling appointment scheduled for this afternoon. My mouth is still store from Monday. I just wish I was done with the whole drilling. It's painful, time-consuming, and I'm usually in a unhappy daze afterwards. Bah. Oh well, maybe I'm lucky and it's less painful today.

ETA: One more whoohoo: I got recced in the huge proliferating viral rec thingie. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] sangpassionne. So many fabulous authors have already been named, so one might think that it would be impossible to add to that list, and I have to say that many of my favourite authors have already been listed, but since the majority of this post deals with stories by [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight I am going the full nine yards and naming her as one of my three recommended authors. The two Buffyverse stories that I feel are must reads are Hand me Down, a chilling S/X darkfic with a very damaged Spike, and A Memory of Spain, a Spike/Angel Spike/Angelus fic that first led me to read her stories.

As for the other 2 authors I'm supposed to name I have to name [livejournal.com profile] eliade, even though she's been mentioned before. No other writer gives me the same amount of happy. And the other unmissable author I would like to add to the list is Sarah T, who has given us Anywhere But Here, an amazing non-shippy Ethan & Dawn fic that I never get tired of recommending to the world. She wrote several other Ethan stories, which I all enjoyed tremendously.
