Firefly fic despair

I hate my story. I hate that it's late, I hate that it's slow and cumbersome, and I hate tinkering with it.
The only thing I like about it is that it made me watch Heart of Gold and all the DVD extras again. Also, it looks like this will have to go up unbeta'd.
