Oops

I am currently checking out websites looking for German-English exercises. I found several "suppliers" who sell PDF files of exercises to teachers and pupils. Very useful stuff, these sites usually have a few sample exercises, so you get an impression what kind of material you're paying for. One such sample exercise was this:

Change into simple past: Children don't have to go to school, so not many people can read or write. There are some famous boys' schools in London, but only rich men's sons may go there. These boys can get their books from a new bookshop in the city, but they are expensive.

Uh-huh. Sloppy, very sloppy.

Many thanks to everybody who commented on my last post. Am too busy washing and bagging and whatnot to reply in great detail. am stuffing all soft toys into freeze, etc. Luckily toyah seems to be nit-free. My head itches just from thinking about lice (I'm not infected, just paranoid).

Writing meme

I spotted this meme in eliade's LJ, but I believe several people posted this in their LJs. I am, as always, late to the party, but I didn't want to post this without having the time to answer. I have tomorrow morning off, so I'd have time to answer your questions, if you have any.
