The auntie has landed
Aug. 25th, 2005 01:53 pmFor days I haven't had time to read LJ or write. I hope I haven't missed much. It's a shame, really: I had a lot of writing mapped out in my head, and was itching to get it down, alas, it was not to be. On Monday I started tidying up the living room, and this morning I was finally done. And when I say 'tidying up' I mean tossing out old computer games and mags; sorting through papers, rearranging the books, games, and video tapes on the shelves; unearthing knicknacks that were buried under papers and toys, etc.
I still have to hoover, but hey, the living room hasn't looked this good in... forever. :-)
Auntie arrived a mere five minutes after I'd chucked the last few bits and pieces into a trunk, out of sight. Perfect - or it would have been if I hadn't still been in my pjs.
The laundry is mostly done as well, and I made potato pancakes with apple sauce. Yum. So, as you can see I had a very productive day so far. Too bad I ate too much. I am now stuffed and exhausted.
Nap time.
*sigh* I can feel how the story I was working on is slipping away and out of my mind, which makes getting back to it it harder and harder... Unfortunately, I won't get many opportunities to write until Sunday... I could of course write now, if I weren't on the verge of keeling off my perch.
