I am insanely happy. This is one of the best episodes ever. A fan's wet dream, a continuity fest. Guh!

I usually like his stuff too. He obviously likes writing Spike and has a good handle on the character. He plays up the abiguities and tests the limits. He's just not so sure of what to make of the fans ;)

If I didn't really get slash, I'd have to disagree. I watch with a friend who is completely oblivious to slash and she saw nothing remotely connected to...homoeroticism.

It was all about vampire-bonding for her.

That's so right! The writers tied all the pieces from this season and past ones so wonderfully together and brought Lindsey back at the *perfect* moment.

Yes I loved it to, I loved that Spike looked young and innocent and so trusting and I adored that the slashy undertones were still screaming strong. Happy wee camper here.

Isn't it nice to feel the predominantly happy vibe? I haven't come across many dissenting voices, so for once the fandom seems to be largely happy. :-)
