Grrrr. Ffnet turned off my paid user status. Meaning I no longer get the enhanced stats, i.e. the hit counter. Meaning even if I pay now, past counts are lost. Why the hell didn't they send me an email that I had to renew my membership? Morons!
Toyah is feeling better, in case you're wondering. She is recovering quickly. Tomorrow I'll let her eat normally. Thanks for your concern, everybody.
Tina's class at school had a Xmas celebration today. The class sang a cute song about baking and Tina and a few others made all kinds of matching gestures, miming stirring, rolling and kneading dough etc. I was terribly impressed. And then I found out that the choreography wasn't imposed by the teacher but that Tina and her best friend Toni invented it. I'm so proud. (I think her cheerleader training showed - she's good at public appearances). God, I adore my daughters. :-)
Today was a very busy day. I'm glad I managed to get some writing done. Tomorrow I have a rolegaming session (the players arrive for breakfast at 9 am), so there won't be time to write during the day. But Sunday I will set aside a few hours for writing.
And next week I will panic because I still have to organize 80% of this year's Christmas presents. *sigh* Have I mentioned lately how much I hate Christmas? All I need is one stress-free day without the kids, only I won't get one. It sucks not having family in the town where you live.
Enough of this. I will now treat myself to half an hour or Final Fantasy X. Toodles.

Date: 2003-12-12 03:30 pm (UTC)I'd always figured that when you have kids, christmas gets to be fun again... something about the whole christmas spirit thing being contagious. Anyway, another chapter of your and Ladycat777's fic and I might, just might, be ready to pop in the CD with the christmas songs. ;)
Presents... gah. I have to buy just one, yet I had to spend two days in the city (which, in December? Not for the faint of heart), and returned home the proud owner of five new books, a pair of gloves, a really cool shirt for jogging, a sofa... but otherwise presentless.

If it's any consolation, your Advent Calendar fic is providing some much-needed seasonal cheer away up here in northern New Hampshire.
