[livejournal.com profile] janedavitt wrote me a Ficard Drunk and Disorderly - Giles/Ethan. Yay. It's brilliant, and it could have happened on the show. No smut, just an encounter. Make sure to tell her it's great, so maybe she'll go AU and write a sequel. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] entrenous88 also wrote a fabulous Spike/Ethan story for me: The Exchange. Go on, tell her to write more!

I am just soooo lucky!!!
I think that's my new mission in life, promoting more Spike/Ethan fic. :-)

Who's Afraid... got rec'd at BBF. Thank you, Mona. It also got nayed, mostly for valid reasons, because yes, the story is rough and often unbeta'd. That's because we have to find the time for writing in between Christmas shopping, family obligations, doctor appointments, Xmas parties, and sick children. I have a free cinema ticket valid till the end of the month and I really really want to see Love Actually but so far I've put it off because I need the evenings to write this puppy. Anyway, lots of people jumped to our defense, which is nice to see. Thank you, guys.

Frankly, I don't mind if people think it's not fit enough to archive, because yeah, there are a several bumps. And yeah, we should have a cache of 10 written installments in our sleeve while we're writing. Maybe we would - only the idea to write this didn't pop into my brain until November 30th. And no, I'm not fishing for compliments. What I'm trying to say is this: I hope to create a polished version of this in January. If you find something that jars, please let us know so we can whittle it out of the final version. We won't feel insulted. Hey, we might ignore your suggestion because we had our reasons for using a particular phrase, but we will definitely appreciate your input. :-) Ta muchy.

Yesterday I was too busy, and later too sick to read my LJ and my friends list. And today I have to do all that Christmassy stuff, wrap parcels, make lists what to get whom, etc. Hence I won't have time to read my friends list. I can't promise I'll be able to catch up (because duh, have more Who's Afraid to write), so if you think there's something going on that shouldn't be missed, please please let me know in the comments. No kerfuffles, please. Just good stuff, okay?

I got that whole discussion in digest form. Someone, I felt, needed to make her point once and then move on with life. But that's me.

And "Don't rec it then"? Grrrrr.

ithink a lot of people are also missing the point that it's a WIP. WIPs don't get archived, or even voted on for archiving, if I read the BBF rules correctly last night, until they're published in full. So... Mountain, molehill, in terms of people criticising it for archive purposes?

*nod* As usual, you're hitting the nail on the head. Wearing your smartypants again, ey?
But I wasn't really peeved. I'm very invested in the story, writing even when I feel sick, tired, or depressed because I know it gives people joy, but I'm not writing with the BBF archive in mind. :-)

*smooch*
