Yay

Oh whee, I had such a splendid day. Woke up at 5.20 no less, got up, started typing away, working on my workshop exercises, made nice breakfast for the kids, saw two squirrels flirt in naked and leafless trees just outside our dining room window, got a painful but effective massage by my phsyiotherapist, had a lovely walk through a chilly snowy morning, wrote some more. In the evening Writers Ink., a local creative writing club that furthers writing in English for non-native speakers, had its second birthday party and we celebrated with a poetry and prose reading. I read two of my stories and was utterly pleased how well they were received. The audience was small, but still.... Afterwards several people came up to me to tell me they liked my stories. That's like crack, it really is. *floats on cloud number nine*
Tomorrow I will attend a poetry workshop. I really look forward to it. *bounce*
Fasting hasn't affected me a lot this time. I could easily stand by and watch everybody munch Bavarian bretzels (which I love) without a hungry twitch in my stomach. Okay, I admit it, I had a few envious thoughts. But apart from yesterday's ugly headache, this short spell of fasting has been very relaxing. And I have felt quite energetic most of the time. Heck, I'm not used to feeling good. Maybe it's the advent of spring with more daylight that's making me more active. Whatever the reasons... I feel great!
